Basic Strength Workshop

Strength is an important human ability we often need within our everyday lives. It is not just about lifting weights, it is more about using the strength for all kind of activities. Let it be carrying groceries, holding your baby, or even taking something heavy out from the shelf.

Workshop Content

In the Workshop we are defining and talking about the terms "Strength" and "Training". Besides the important terminology  and technical aspects of your strength training, we are addressing the important joints and muscles involved in upper & lower body strength training. Furthermore, we are talking about ways to structure your training in a sustainable and efficient fashion. Also, we are going over different progressions for bodyweight exercises and skills (examples: push-up, pull-up, muscle-up, handstand, front & back lever, different forms of squats, etc.).

Target Audience

The Basic Strength Workshop is open for all kind of genders, people from all kind of disciplines and people with all sort of experiences. All exercises that we will be practicing can be adjusted according to your own physical abilities. The workshop can be seen as an entry into the movement practice or, if you are already experienced as further training and used for new ideas/approaches in your respective discipline.

What Do I Need?

Make sure you come into the workshop relatively fresh and not too sore - it may be exhausting.

Please bring:
- A notebook and pen if you wish to retain information
- Enough fluids/snacks

- Comfy (and warm enough) clothes if the workshop is taken place outdoors

I can only recommend to bring something to write. Nevertheless, by the end of the workshop you will receive an E-Mail with all the information we have talked about in a condensed form.

Why Basic Strength?

Are you interested in learning a handstand? Would you like to dig deeper into acrobatics? Would you like to learn a pull-up, a push-up or even a handstand push-up? Do you want to improve your Parkour skills? There is one similarity in all these questions: a certain level of basic strength is always needed. 

The workshop is designed to give you the proper information (on a theoretical and applicable level) for training on your own in the further process.
